Honour Cord
Bachelor's Degree graduates awarded First Class Honours/ summa cum laude/ magna cum laude/ cum laude are eligible to wear an Honour Cord during the Commencement.
The Honour Cord consists of a pair of identical cords that are knotted together and is worn by hanging loosely from both sides of the graduate's shoulders. It can be kept by the distinguished graduate as a memento but does not form a permanent part of the academic dress.
